Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin has unanimously won the NBA's Rookie of the Year award.

He is the first unanimous selection for the award since San Antonio's David Robinson in 1989-90.

The top overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft, Griffin sat out last season because of a knee injury. But he turned into a star almost instantly in 2010-11, posting a double-double in his first game and displaying amazing athleticism all season.

In 82 games, he averaged 22.5 points, 12.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists.
