Ginobili injures elbow in final game
By Sports Network
San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili hyperextended his right elbow during the first quarter of his club's season finale against Phoenix.
He got tangled up with Suns' Grant Hill near the foul line and laid on the ground in pain after the injury. He went straight to the locker room for evaluation and did not return to the game.
The team's Twitter account revealed that he will undergo an MRI on Thursday in San Antonio.
The Spurs were handed a 106-103 loss to Phoenix to squash their bid at the NBA's best record, falling to a 61-21 record. Chicago finished the season with 62 wins after a victory over New Jersey on Wednesday.
The Spurs still captured the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference playoffs and face Memphis in the opening round this weekend.
