Jay-Z investigated over locker room visit

Rap mogul and sports team owner Jay-Z is facing an investigation from NBA officials after he was seen allegedly celebrating with college players following a game in New Jersey on Wednesday.

The hip-hop star is a part-owner of the New Jersey Nets basketball team and he attended a play-off between the Kentucky Wildcats and North Carolina at the Nets' home ground at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

He was reportedly seen celebrating in a locker room with the Kentucky players after they won the game, but NBA rules forbid team personnel from having contact with players who are not yet eligible to be recruited.

According to a CBSSports.com blog, the NBA is investigating the incident. Jay-Z could be fined thousands of dollars if he is found to have broken the rules.
