SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- San Antonio Spurs rookie guard Gary Neal is suffering from mild concussive symptoms and will miss Friday's game against the New Jersey Nets. Neal, plucked out of obscurity by the Spurs after a solid showing in last year's Las Vegas Summer League, has been averaging nearly 20 minutes off San Antonio's bench this season. He was an unlikely member of the first-year players' squad in the Rookies/Sophomores game during All-Star weekend and scored 20 points. The Towson product is averaging 9.0 points and 2.4 rebounds through the Spurs' first 57 games. In other injury news for the club, forward Tiago Splitter will miss a sixth straight game due to a strained left hamstring.
