Report: Clippers to send Davis to Cavs
By Sports Network

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly set to ship guard Baron Davis to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

According to the Los Angeles Times, which cites a league source, the Clippers will send Davis and their first-round pick in the 2011 draft to the Cavaliers in exchange for guard Mo Williams and forward Jamario Moon.

Davis signed with the Clippers in the summer of 2008, but never had the sort of production with Los Angeles that he did earlier in his career.

He averaged at least 17 points per game in seven consecutive seasons, ending with 2007-08, when he posted 21.8 with 7.6 assists with Golden State. However, Davis did not average more than 15.3 in a season with the Clippers after signing a lucrative five-year deal.

The 31-year-old Davis averaged 12.8 points and 7.0 assists in 43 games with the Clippers this season, his 12th in the NBA.

Williams, 28, has averaged 13.3 points and 7.1 assists in 36 games for Cleveland this year, missing time with a hip injury. In eight NBA seasons with Utah, Milwaukee, and the Cavaliers, Williams has career averages of 13.8 points and 5.0 assists.

Moon, 30, is in his fourth NBA season and was in his second with Cleveland. In 258 career games, he posted averages of 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds.
