Kings' Evans to miss rookie challenge

Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento Kings announced Thursday that guard Tyreke Evans will miss this weekend's All-Star festivities with plantar fasciitis in his left foot.

Evans was scheduled to play in the rookie/sophomore challenge, a game he was the MVP of last season. The Kings' leading scorer has missed the team's last two games with the injury.

Evans is averaging 18.3 points and 5.5 assists in 46 games this season, all starts.

James Harden of the Oklahoma City Thunder will replace Evans on the sophomore roster.
