MIAMI -- The Miami Heat don't expect Chris Bosh to play this week, as the forward is still bothered by a high ankle sprain.

Bosh suffered the injury against the Bulls on Dec. 15 and missed the next two games -- a loss to Atlanta and a win over his former team, Toronto.

The Miami Herald reported Bosh will miss another week, possibly two, and Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra was just as ambivalent during practice on Tuesday.

"Chris is still getting better, but he's still not ready for practice, still not ready for full speed," Spoelstra said. "He's doing all of the work he can ... but he's going to have to be able to do all of the basketball movements without thinking about it. Until he gets to that point we won't be able to make a real judgment on when he can come back, and he's a ways away from that."

In 42 games this season, Bosh has put up 18.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, roughly five points and three rebounds fewer than his average with the Raptors last season.

In other Heat news, star guard Dwyane Wade missed the win over Toronto due to a migraine but was back at practice on Monday. His status for Thursday's game at New York has yet to be determined.
