LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Lakers forward Matt Barnes underwent successful surgery on his right knee Tuesday to repair a torn lateral meniscus.
The procedure, performed at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, is expected to keep Barnes out of the lineup for approximately eight weeks.
Barnes suffered the injury during Friday's win over New Orleans.
In 37 games this season, Barnes has averaged 7.4 points and 4.8 rebounds.
