Dalembert's future cloudy
By FRANK ZICARELLI, QMI Agency

Who knows what the future holds for Canadian centre Samuel Dalembert, who was born in Haiti and raised in Montreal.

When Dalembert accompanied the Sacramento Kings to the ACC on Sunday, the trade winds followed him to Toronto.

Dalembert is in the final year of a deal that pays him a cool $12 million US.

His numbers in Philly never warranted such as a lucrative deal, but who in their right mind would turn it down.

Against the Raptors, Dalembert played nine minutes in the first half and never got off the bench in the second half.

His representative flew to Sac-town to discuss Dalembert's future with Kings management, a closed-door meeting that is inevitable when a high-priced piece isn't getting minutes.

At his best, Dalembert is effective when defending the paint, blocking shots and running the floor.

On a good team, Dalembert is an ideal backup, his salary notwithstanding.

The Kings are far from good and it's a good bet that Dalembert will get moved. For his sake, let's hope he does get traded.
