ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Hawks have waived swingman Damien Wilkins.
Wilkins was signed on Dec. 3 and appeared in 13 games off the bench for the Hawks, averaging 2.5 points and 1.8 rebounds. He has averaged 7.1 points and 2.7 rebounds in 403 career NBA games over parts of seven seasons with the Seattle/Oklahoma City franchise and Minnesota.
The 30-year-old nephew of former Hawks great Dominique Wilkins spent last season with the Timberwolves and started 31 of the 80 games he played, averaging 5.6 points with 3.1 rebounds.
