NBA fines Pierce, Van Gundy

NEW YORK -- The National Basketball Association has fined Boston Celtics swingman Paul Pierce and Orlando Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy on Saturday for separate incidents earlier in the week.
Pierce was docked $15,000 for throwing an object into the stands at Conseco Fieldhouse during the Celtics' 95-83 win over Indiana on Tuesday.
Van Gundy was hit with a $35,000 fine for inappropriate comments about the officiating in a 112-103 win over the Knicks on Thursday.
