LOS ANGELES -- The Philadelphia 76ers will have to do without the services of swingman Andre Iguodala for at least the next five games.

Iguodala, who had sat out due to tendinitis in his right Achilles for Monday's loss at Golden State and Wednesday's win in Phoenix, has been diagnosed with bilateral Achilles tendinitis.

Iguodala was examined by Dr. Richard Ferkel of the Southern California Orthopedic Institute, and the diagnosis was made in conjunction with Sixers team physician Dr. Jack McPhilemy.

The 26-year-old will miss Friday's game against the Lakers and Monday's contest in New Orleans to complete the club's current road trip, then sit for home games against Washington and Chicago and a tilt in Detroit.

The earliest date for the UConn product's return is Jan. 10.
