NEW YORK -- Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas is set to make his season debut Friday against the New York Knicks, according to the team's Twitter feed.

The post said, "A quick update from New York. Gilbert Arenas will play tonight!" Arenas practiced Friday morning and was earlier considered a game- time decision.

Arenas has missed the Wizards' first three games of the regular season with a strained tendon in his right ankle and strained right groin.

The 28-year-old Arizona product has been limited to 47 games over the last three seasons due to problems with his left knee and a 50-game suspension last year for an incident with guns in the Washington locker room, which ended his season in early January.

In his last fully-healthy campaign back in 2006-07, Arenas logged 28.5 points, 6.0 assists and 4.6 rebounds per contest.
