Ask anybody their opinion of New York City and they will say they either love it or hate it.

For Orlandos backup centre Marcin Gortat, The Big Apple is a dirty, dirty place.

"The only thing I remember about New York is -- it's sad -- but it's terribly dirty. And it smells bad, too, Gortat told the Orlando Sentinal. I'm sorry to say that, and I know New York fans will hate me probably. But it's an incredibly city, great city, great fans... I love the fans and I love the famous people. I remember my rookie year I was sitting in the second row trying to find as many famous people as possible. But now, the memories I got is it's just a dirty, dirty place."

The Magic were scheduled to meet the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden this past Tuesday, but due to debris falling from the ceiling during building maintenance the game was postponed.

Fortunately for Gortat, he will have to wait another day to face the wrath of New Yorkers.
