Nets pick up options on Lopez, Williams

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New Jersey Nets have exercised the fourth-year option on the contract of centre Brook Lopez and the third-year option on the deal for swingman Terrence Williams.

Terms were not disclosed.

Lopez started all 82 games for the Nets last season and averaged team highs of 18.8 points and 8.6 rebounds. His 1.70 blocked shots per game ranked 10th in the NBA.

The Nets selected the 7-foot Stanford product with the 10th overall pick of the 2008 draft. He also appeared in all 82 games during his rookie season of 2008-09 and averaged 13.0 points with 8.1 rebounds.

Williams was chosen with the 11th overall pick of the 2009 draft and played 78 games in his rookie season, starting nine. The former Louisville star averaged 8.4 points with 4.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
