LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Lakers made it official on Thursday by agreeing to a contract with free agent guard Steve Blake.

Terms were not released, but the Los Angeles Times previously reported the deal to be for four years and worth $16 million.

Blake, a veteran of seven NBA seasons, split the 2009-10 campaign between Portland and the Clippers and averaged 7.3 points, 4.8 assists and 2.3 rebounds while shooting 39.5 percent from three-point range with 116 field goals.

The Maryland product has played for five teams during his pro tenure with stops in Milwaukee, Denver and Washington, which drafted him in the second round in 2003.

In 499 career games, 299 of those starts, the 30-year-old has averaged 7.5 points, 4.3 assists and 2.1 boards while connecting on 39.3 percent of his three-point tries.
