ORLANDO -- The Orlando Magic have signed point guard Chris Duhon.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Sporting News had reported it to be a four-year deal worth $15 million.

Duhon is expected to back up Jameer Nelson.

"Chris provides depth, leadership and stability to our backcourt," said Magic general manager Otis Smith. "He takes care of the basketball, defends well and can hit the open shot. We're very happy to add Chris to our team."

Duhon played his first four seasons with Chicago and spent the past two years with the Knicks. He averaged 7.4 points and 5.6 assists for New York last season and owns career averages of 7.7 points and 5.1 assists in 446 NBA games.
