Gilbert Arenas said he hopes he'll return from a second knee operation and be back in the Washington Wizards' lineup within two months.

"I don't really know. I keep pushing it back," the all-star point guard told the team's website yesterday. "Hopefully, I will be able to come back sometime between the middle of February to the middle of March."

Arenas had surgery last April, then needed another operation in November. At the time, his recovery was expected to take three months.

PIPPEN STEPS UP

NBA great Scottie Pippen scored nine points for Finland league-leader Torpan Pojat which beat Honka 98-85 in Vantaa, Finland, yesterday.

After a slow start, Pippen improved in the second half, smoothly grabbing nine rebounds and giving out several unselfish passes.

Pippen leaves Finland unbeaten on his Nordic Europe mini-tour three years after retiring from the NBA. He scored 12 points in his first game on Friday, when ToPo beat Tarmo of Porvoo 93-81.

Pippen will play one game in Sundsvall, northern Sweden, on Friday.
