Victory celebrations turned violent in the streets of San Francisco in the hours after the Giants won the World Series against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday.

Several bonfires were lit. Fans were also climbing on top of vehicles, street signs and traffic lights. Police patrolled the streets in riot gear.

This isn't the first time San Francisco has dealt with violence after a World Series victory. When the Giants last won in 2010, excessive celebrations led to fires in the streets and property damage.

The Giants defeated the Tigers 4-3 in a 10-inning affair Sunday, taking the World Series in a four-game sweep.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
