ANAHEIM - With the arrival of Nolan Reimold and the availability of Cole Gillespie and Darin Mastroianni, all righthanded bats, a few platoon opportunities have opened up for the Blue Jays.

On Monday, his first day in a Blue Jays uniform, Reimold was in right field and batted eighth, just ahead of Juan Francisco, against Anaheim righty Jered Weaver.

Reimold's splits against left and righthanded pitchers is almost dead even. His career batting average is exactly .252 against both and his career OPS is .775 against righties and .749 against lefties.
