R.A. Dickey was dealing.

The knuckleball was in swing-and-miss mode in the early going Friday night and the White Sox were right there with it.

Five strikeouts through three innings and the only baserunner was there because of an error committed by Jose Reyes.

Dickey looked unhittable early on but that’s the tease with a knuckleball. It can be diving one inning and ultra-hittable the next.

Dickey got through the fourth unscathed as well only this time he needed a little help with Edwin Encarnacion going to his right and leaving his feet to pull down a Conor Gillaspie liner that appeared headed for right field.

The trouble began in the bottom of the fourth with Dickey in dugout.

White Sox starter John Danks, who wasn’t having a bad night himself although the Jays had touched him up for three hits through three scoreless, found his zone.
