Brett Cecil is going to the DL.

The Blue Jays' left-handed reliever, who suffered a groin injury last weekend in Baltimore, was placed on the 15-day DL by the club on Thursday morning.

The Jays have called up right-hander Steve Delabar from triple-A Buffalo to take Cecil's place. Delabar was sent down just two days ago.

The Jays will look to avoid being swept by the New York Yankees in the finale of a three-game series on Thursday night.
