TORONTO - It’s been a rough go of late for Jays CF Anthony Gose. Over his past eight games, he has gone a collective 3-for-25 (.120) with three runs scored, no doubles, one triple, no home runs, one RBI and one stolen base. During this skid, his average has dropped to .239 from .310.
Lately, it looks as if Gose has reverted to his former bad habit of being caught between pitches, being late on the fastball and flailing at the breaking ball.
Hitting coach Kevin Seitzer said prior to Monday’s game against the Twins that Gose remains a work in progress.
