A year ago at this time, Steve Delabar was a dominating force in the Blue Jays bullpen.
His arsenal included a fastball that hit 96-97 m.p.h. with regularity, a nearly unhittable split and a devastating slider,
In the opening two months of the 2013 season, Delabar appeared in 24 games (29 innings) where he allowed 20 hits and struck out 33 to go with a 2.17 ERA. It set the ground work for a terrific June where he would not allow an earned run in 10 appearances, logging 21 additional strikeouts.
His body of work was of high enough a degree to earn him a selection to the all-star game.
