When the top closers in the game are mentioned — the closers of the past few seasons, not of all-time — you never hear the name of Casey Janssen. Never.

Janssen took over the closer role in 2012 and that season converted 22 of 25 save situations. He followed that up by being successful in 34 of 36 save situations in 2013. This season he is 6-for-6 and has not allowed a run since he returned to the team May 11 after missing the opening six weeks of the season with pain in his lower back and side.

So, since taking over the role in 2012, Janssen has gone a combined 62-for-67 in save situations.
