Tuesday’s Pitcher

Doubront has a deceptive motion that cloaks a 91-94 mph fastball, a cutter and an inconsistent curve. Best swing and miss pitch is his 80-mph change.

Fidlin’s Take:

The Red Sox were swept at home by the Tigers and, now three games under .500, are starting to feel some heat. That could be bad news for the Jays if Boston suddenly snaps to attention in this series. They’ve lost four in a row and scored a total of six runs in those four losses.

Prediction:

Based on the pitching matchups, we’ll give the edge to Boston on Thursday, to Toronto on Wednesday and Tuesday is a coin-flip. After an actual coin-flip, we’re giving Boston a 2-1 series win.
