The Blue Jays will play their 271st game at Fenway Park Tuesday night.

The Jays won 121 times while losing 149 in their first 270 games, including 40-52 over the last 10 seasons as the Jays had four winning seasons (7-2 in 2012 and 2005-07: 5-4).

Five memorable games since the Jays lost their first visit on July 4, 1977, 9-6, as Chuck Hartenstein took the loss and Otto Velez homered off Fergie Jenkins:

1. June 4, 1989.

Could the Jays have been looking past the Sunday afternoon game on getaway day to Monday ... the night they were moved into their new digs the SkyDome? Well there were quickly down 10-0 as Boston scored off rookie Alex Sanchez, relievers Xavier Hernandez and Tom Henke.

Nelson Liriano knocked in a run and Junior Felix doubled off Bob Stanley in the seventh. Lloyd Moseby singled in a pair and Rance Mulliniks doubled in a run to chase Stanley. Liriano singled off Bob Murphy cutting the gap to 10-6 after eight. George Bell doubled and Lee Smith walked a pair before Ernie Whitt hit a grand slam to tie the score with one out. Felix, who hit an inside-the-park grand slam in the series opener, hit a two-run homer off ex-Jay Dennis Lamp to win it in the 12th as Duane Ward worked three scoreless.
