Some games your best is just good enough.

Ask the Blue Jays Drew Hutchison.

Hutchison drew Yu Darvish as his opponent for Friday night’s opener deep in the heart of which is the toughest assignment he could have picked.

Even though Darvish was close to being at his best, Hutchison was a shade better this night as he pitched the Jays to a hard fought 2-0 victory over the Texas Rangers with a complete game, three-hit shutout.

It was the second victory of the season for Hutchison, who has had three losses and four no-decisions in his last seven starts.

In Hutchison’s previous start -- a 9-3 loss to the Angels -- he battled with his control and walked a season high four in his 4.1 innings.
