Brandon Morrow went on the 15-day disabled list Saturday after feeling something pop at the base of the index finger on his pitching hand while working in the fifth inning of Friday night’s game against the Pirates.

Morrow threw several pitches after he experienced that sensation and got through the fifth having already thrown 102 pitches.

“He was coming out of the game anyway,” said manager John Gibbons.

Morrow left to see his doctor in Phoenix Saturday morning for further examination.
