The weather won the battle in these parts Wednesday with a mix of snow and rain and extremely cold temperatures which were not in any way conducive to the grand old game of baseball.

As a result, the Blue Jays and Minnesota Twins will play a split doubleheader Thursday with the opener at 1:10 p.m. ET, and the nightcap starting at 7:10 p.m. ET.

The one day of grace, though, doesn't mean the two games on Thursday will be played in a heat wave. The forecast calls for sun and cloud and a high of 5C.
