DUNEDIN, FLA. - It’s hard to know just how much stock to put into springtime baseball impressions. With the Blue Jays, it is especially so, given how badly everybody misjudged the 2013 version.

That failure has, of course, led the cynical to believe that the 2014 team will be a carbon copy of the outfit that soiled itself so badly in 2013. Maybe the skeptics will be right and the whole house of cards will cave in on itself.

The Blue Jays themselves believe otherwise. They think that with a little luck on the injury front, they can turn last year’s chicken feathers into chicken soup.

Here are nine snapshots from the first three weeks of training camp that might just give them hope that they are right.
