SARASOTA, FLA. - There are really a lot of ways to look at the competition for the one open starting spot in the Blue Jays rotation and you can be sure the Blue Jay brass will peer long and hard at all aspects.

The seven candidates all present very different profiles. There are rookies, there are veterans, there are lefties and righties, tall and short, guys making millions, guys making the minimum. Importantly, there are some with options and some without.
