TORONTO - Kicking J.P. Arencibia out of town wasn't priority No. 1 for the Blue Jays this off-season.

Improving the starting pitching remains goal No. 1 for general manager Alex Anthopoulos, but that doesn't mean that when he perceives a way to make an upgrade for his club -- and the finances fit -- he won't jump on it.

He did it last year as well, if you recall, when his initial off-season move in what would turn out to be a few weeks of colossal wheeling and dealing was signing second baseman/shortstop Maicer Izturis to a three-year deal.

The Jays no doubt expect Dioner Navarro to make a bigger imprint than Izturis but in switching up catchers Anthopoulos hopefully took care of a position that was an eyesore for the Jays last year.
