BOSTON - At the end of a season that seemed to drift from one humiliation to the next for the star-crossed Blue Jays, what’s just one more?

In this latest episode the Jays, who began the season with serious post-season expectations, were forced to witness up close the Boston Red Sox celebration of an American League East Division championship, as ex-Toronto manager John Farrell revelled in the joys of his “dream job.”

Friday night the Red Sox, winners of just 69 games a year ago, won their 94th of the season to claim the division title on the strength of a 6-3 victory over Toronto.
