Improvements the Blue Jays should consider for next season:

- Extend action seats 2-to-4 more rows towards home plate. Advantages: Increases revenue stream, plus the number of runners scoring from third on wild pitches/passed balls would be cut down.

- Made amends with all 94 men on the major league umpire roster, from Jordan Baker to Jim Wolf. Personal compliments of the season phone calls at home over the holidays would be a start.

- Whomever, the second baseman is heading into camp — Ryan Goins, Maicer Izturis or the people’s choice Munenori Kawasaki — have him work daily from mid-February on with hall of famer Robbie Alomar. Don’t wait until late May as the Jays did this year before bringing Alomar down from his box on the 300 level to work with Emilio Bonifacio and Izturis.
