Edwin Encarnacion's 35th home run not only gave the Blue Jays some needed insurance Monday, on their way to a 4-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks, but it put him into an elite group in Blue Jay history.

He joined Carlos Delgado, Jose Bautista, Shawn Green and Fred McGriff as Jays who have had back-to-back 35-home run seasons. In Delgado's case he hit at least 35 in four consecutive seasons.
