TORONTO - The bulk of manager John Gibbons’ pre-game scrum dealt with all the speculation concerning his job and what is needed to turn the team around in 2014.

Regarding the latter, Gibbons was asked if he thought the same group of players (all healthy) could come back and produce a much better record.

“I think we need to make some changes, no question,” he said. “Rarely in this business do you stick with the status quo after coming off a bad year. You need to make some additions, yeah.”

Such as? Gibbons didn't fall for that trap.

"You'll never get that. It affects somebody out there," Gibbons replied. "We're always trying to identify where we need to upgrade. You could say we need to upgrade the manager, that's the way it goes."
