The Blue Jays unveiled Carlos Delgado’s name on their Ring of Excellence Sunday afternoon which turned out to be the lone positive aspect of the weekend.

After Delgado’s name was tucked into the left field corner the Rays rifled three bombs to right leading to a 4-3 Tampa Bay victory and a sweep of the three-game series.

The Jays tantalized in the ninth as Jose Reyes doubled home a pair of runs but the meat of their order — Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion and Melky Cabrera — couldn’t deliver after that, leaving a bitter taste in the mouths of the remnants of the crowd of 41,247.
