Derek Jeter was never one to get ruffled.

The New York Yankees shortstop could turn a double play or turn the page, moving on with grace and composure, after a bad at-bat or an error.

And all the while, he was playing on the game’s biggest stage, be it opening day at Yankee Stadium or Nov. 1 during the World Series.

Yet, there was a day when the Yankees played the Texas Rangers in Arlington back in 1987.
