Blue Jays stomp all over World Series champs
Dickey puts in Cy Young-worthy pitching performance

TORONTO - For a team with championship aspirations it is necessary to play like champions.

It is necessary to beat champions.

And, for at least one night in May, the Blue Jays played the part Tuesday, spanking Barry Zito and the San Francisco Giants 10-6 with an 18-hit barrage.

They got pitching. They got timely hitting. Neither of which has been in evidence regularly as teams hit the quarter pole of the season.

R.A. Dickey looked Cy Young-worthy for the first time in a Toronto jersey, fanning 10, before handing a 9-2 lead to the bullpen in the seventh.

There were a couple walks that cost him a run in the second but Dickey got a standing ovation in the sixth when he struck out the side after a Hunter Pence double.

Do you think MLB is taking it too far by having teams open the 2014 season in Australia?
