Blue Jays' Bonifacio heating up

TORONTO - While Jose Bautista stole the show on Sunday with two home runs hit into the seats atop the Green Monster, in a game where the Jays would total five homers, Emilio Bonifacio turned in his best offensive performance as a Blue Jay with three hits, topped by a two-run home run, and two RBIs.

Bonifacio came into the game having gone just 3-for-37 over his past 17 games which reached back to April 16.

Due to deficiencies at the plate and in the field, particularly in the opening two weeks, Bonifacio has not received a whole lot of playing time.
