NEW YORK - An MRI taken of Josh Johnson's pitching arm did not set off any medical alarms, and the Blue Jays pitcher is expected to resume throwing over the next few days with an eye to making his next start Thursday or Friday.

"The first thing they look at when it's in that area is the ligament," Johnson said. "Everything looks really good. Just have to get it out there and start throwing."

"I'll start playing catch either (Sunday) or Monday and then just kind of take it from there. Probably (play) catch, then pitch on the side, another couple of days of catch and then pitch in a game."
