Casey Janssen is going to open up as the Blue Jays closer but that’s about the only issue that was resolved on Saturday.

Whether or not he will be ready by Opening Day remains in doubt and depends on who you ask.

In his pre-game scrum, manager John Gibbons said that he liked what he has seen from Janssen, that he believes he should be ready to go by the season opener April 2 and that Janssen would be his closer.

“I don’t see why not, if he keeps building and there’s no setbacks” Gibbons replied when asked if there’s a good chance that Janssen will break camp with the club.
