Blue Jays' Ricky Romero must put baggage behind him
By MIKE RUTSEY, QMI Agency

Blue Jay' Ricky Romero pitched three innings against the Tigers during spring training action in Lakeland, Fla., on Friday. (CRAIG ROBERTSON/QMI Agency)

Ricky Romero didn’t do much of anything to quiet the discontent.

The Blue Jays left-hander was going up against the Detroit Tigers for the second time in five days, only this time around, they brought out their opening day lineup.

Romero, who was not inspiring in his previous start at Dunedin, came through with a mixed-to-poor performance, allowing three runs on five hits in three innings, walking two and striking out four.

What is wrong with Blue Jays pitcher Ricky Romero?
  Struggling with mental game
  Struggling with mechanics
  He's hiding an injury
  Something else
