Jays' Morrow still working out the kinks

All in all, it was a good day at the office for Brandon Morrow.

Not having to make the long 21/2 hour bus trip to Fort Myers and a game against the Red Sox, Morrow opted for the 15-minute drive to the Phillies minor-league complex on an overcast and chilly day in not-so-sunny Florida.

Facing the Phillies triple-A club, Morrow got his work in, threw around 55 pitches and pitched into the fifth inning, the first Jays starter to do so this spring.

“Yeah, we got into the fifth inning,” Morrow said of the day’s accomplishments “I was conservative with my pitches, I wasn’t getting as many first-pitch strikes as I’d like but I got second-pitch strikes fairly well.

Are you encouraged by the Toronto Blue Jays' recent winning streak?
Yes, team is starting to gel
No, team is not championship calibre
Unsure what to make of it
