No timeline for return of Jays' Lawrie
By MIKE RUTSEY, QMI Agency

The injured Brett Lawrie (inset) rejoined his teammates in Dunedin. There is no timetable for Lawrie's return to action. (Craig Robertson/Toronto Sun)

The absence this past week of Brett Lawrie, Jose Reyes and J.P. Arencibia from the Blue Jays clubhouse is more than just a loss of three of their star players. It also robbed the room of most of its energy.

All three players are high-energy, high-volume characters, You usually hear them yapping and kidding with their teammates before you see them.

One of the trio returned yesterday in the form of Lawrie, Canada having been bounced from the World Baseball Classic.

The WBC still holds Reyes and Arencibia in custody as it does Edwin Encarnacion and R.A. Dickey.

Is the season lost for the Toronto Blue Jays or is there still time to turn things around?
Plenty of time to get it turned around
They're quickly running out of time
It's lost. When do the Argos start?
It was over before it began
