The Blue Jays have a bit of advice for J.A. Happ — suck it up.
On Sunday against the Yankees, Happ didn’t attempt to hide his frustration and disappointment with the Jays that essentially leaves him on the outside looking in.
Due to the off-season pitching acquisitions, the Jays have stated they will open the season with a rotation of R.A. Dickey, Brandon Morrow, Mark Buehrle, Josh Johnson and Ricky Romero.
Happ, 30, a major-league starter since 2009, who was acquired last year from Houston, is frozen out and will serve the club either as the long man in the bullpen or be sent down to triple-A Buffalo and remain a starter there.
