It’s just three games and it is spring baseball but Adam Lind is off to a decent start in this season of decision.

Lind is under a microscope this year as he seeks to prove he can be effective against lefthanded pitching. If he can’t convince the Blue Jays brass of that, he’ll likely be platooned.

So far, in three games, Lind is 4-for-8 with a home run and a double. In his one at-bat against a lefthanded pitcher, he had a base hit.

“He’s off to a good start,” said manager John Gibbons. “He’s bearing down this spring. It’s a big year for him. The better he is, the better we’re going to be. All he can do is add to what we have.

Any decision about Lind will be based not just on numbers.
