They'll live in their minivan for three months, travel 10,000 kilometres and visit 30 baseball stadiums -- all to promote the return of their beloved Expos.

For Montrealers Gabriel Morrissette and Adry Laurin, both 24, it's the trip of a lifetime.

QMI Agency caught up with them in New York prior to a Yankees game.

"We decided to combine our passion for baseball, history and road trips," said Gabriel, sporting an Expos t-shirt and cap.

"The goal is also to promote the return of baseball to Montreal and to create a big wave on social media."

Morrissette, a French teacher, and Laurin, a history student, spent a year saving up for their trip that began last Tuesday in Boston.

Their plan is to visit all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums in 90 days, culminating September 28 with a game in Toronto between the Blue Jays and the Baltimore Orioles.

They admit their trip might not bear fruit for many years.

"The Expos might not return tomorrow or in 10 years, but we have hope," Laurin said. "If we can add our two cents, we'll be happy."

They're doing their best to drum up nostalgia for their home team that left Montreal for Washington in 2004.

Morrissette and Laurin are handing out flyers and Expos t-shirts in front of every ballpark.

"When people see us, they all tell us stories about (the Expos)," Morrissette said. "We can see that the interest is there in the United States, people remember the good old days of the Expos in Montreal."

Nearly 800 people are following the pair on their twitter account @Mtlontheroad.

They're also chronicling their travels on the blog Montrealontheroad.com.
