Four Philadelphia pitchers combined to throw a no-hitter on Monday as the Phillies defeated the Atlanta Braves 7-0 at Turner Field.

Phillies starter Cole Hamels worked the first six innings and was lifted for a pinch hitter in the seventh. Hamels struck out seven and walked five.

Jake Diekman retired the side in the seventh inning, striking out two. Ken Giles pitched the eighth inning and struck out the side.

Jonathan Papelbon closed out the no-hitter in the ninth.

Monday's no-hitter was the fourth one thrown this season. Most recently, San Francisco's Tim Lincecum recorded a no-hitter on June 25 against the San Diego Padres.

Clayton Kershaw threw a no-hitter against the Colorado Rockies on June 18. Dodgers teammate Josh Beckett also no-hit the Phillies on May 25.
